Home Locators is run by husband and wife
team, Andrea and John Hickman, who started their company
following their own difficult experience in relocating
to the West Country from Essex many years ago. Rest assured,
they have a complete understanding of all the pitfalls
and exactly how you can avoid them!
John and Andrea begun their home search process with hundreds
of phone calls to estate agents all over Devon and Cornwall,
which was of course costly and time consuming. Then, despite
being as precise as possible about their requirements,
they were inundated with piles and piles of property details,
most of which were completely unsuitable.
Having sifted what looked like the wheat from the chaff,
the next job was to try and set up appointments. Many
weekends and holidays were spent making countless journeys
to view those properties that looked favourable only to
find that they were either sold, located half a mile from
a sewage farm or that a housing development was about
to be built right opposite! These are facts that Estate
Agents often omit to mention and result in disappointment,
stress and a waste of time and money.
John and Andrea soon realised that the best properties
were sold immediately they came on to the market - or
even without coming onto the market at all. They felt
that by offering a tailor made relocation
service, they could make the buying process far more
efficient, cost effective and less traumatic for other
people moving to Devon or Cornwall and so Home Locators
was born.
Since being established, the Home Locators team has continued
to develop good relationships with local estate agents,
giving them fast access to new properties coming on to
the market. They also have a valuable contact list of
solicitors, conveyancers, etc to help make your home move
as smooth and easy as possible. |
